Making money from your board

A job board earns from employers. The bundle supports the three most common ways to do it:

• Pay per posting. Employers pay to publish a job for a set period, then it expires automatically.
• Featured upgrades. Employers pay extra to appear in the Featured Opportunities section and stand out in listings.
• Resume access. The employer-only resume database is often the easiest thing to charge recruiters for, as a package or as part of a premium plan.

Payments run through WooCommerce, so you can use the payment gateways, tax settings and sales reports you probably already know. Most niche boards start by keeping posting free until they have enough candidates, then begin charging. An empty board is hard to sell to employers.

Getting into Google for Jobs

Google’s job results box sits above normal search results, and it’s the biggest source of traffic a job board can get. Getting in depends on JobPosting structured data, which this plugin adds to every job automatically. AI assistants read the same data when someone asks about open roles.

• Fill in every field. Title, description, company, location and posting date are expected. Salary and job type are strongly recommended. Half-empty listings pass validation but perform badly.
• Leave expiry on. Google penalizes sites that keep dead jobs live.
• Check your country. Google for Jobs isn’t available in every market.
• Test early. Put your first real job through the Rich Results Test before you have a hundred of them.

Valid markup makes a job eligible for Google’s job results. It doesn’t guarantee a place, and no theme or plugin can promise that.

The AI resume tools

• Resume generator. A candidate answers a few questions and gets a structured first draft, which gets past the blank-page problem that stops people finishing a profile.
• Experience enhancer. Rewrites a candidate’s own bullet points more clearly. It improves what they wrote rather than inventing experience.
• Resume matcher. Scores how well a resume fits a job, so employers can see the strongest matches first.

What to know before you switch them on: they need your own OpenAI API key, and OpenAI bills you directly for usage. You can pick a cheaper model in the settings. Resume text used by these tools is sent to OpenAI, so mention it in your privacy policy. Match scores should help sort applications, not make hiring decisions, since some regions regulate automated screening. Leave the key blank and everything else works as normal.
