We're looking for an experienced, creative web developer to join the web development function in our Corporate Marketing team. You need to be strategic, a critical and independent thinker, contribute your web design knowledge to help solve challenging problems and tell our story in compelling new ways.
- Continually improve Boomi’s web properties; create end-to-end experiences, features (wireframes, prototypes, coded web pages), customized templates and plugins as needed; maintain a visually on-brand website that is also optimized for demand generation.
- Support reducing technical errors and translation initiatives to help the global sites become SEO optimized and stay up to date with Boomi.com.
- Help build an excellent customer journey through compelling and excellent digital experiences on Boomi.com and other Boomi sites.
- Collaborate with coworkers to optimize and/or publish digital marketing assets: continually optimize images, HTML, and CSS code base for download speed and render time optimizations.
- Write clean, well commented PHP and JavaScript code.
- Actively engage in strategic planning with staff across Boomi in all stages of web projects, web redesign work, cross-departmentally as needed to create and maintain web applications.
- Remain current on new tools, technologies and web design trends, including platforms and plugins as they pertain to graphics,social and video; validate, propose and implement new tools and technologies as appropriate; attend conferences and workshops.
- Support day to day run of business requests from other cross functional global teams
The experience you bring:
- 5+ years of professional web developer experience, with a firm understanding of design concepts and deep knowledge of HTML, CSS and SASS (or other precompiled CSS).
- Expert experience in WordPress development including theme and plugin development; incorporating all necessary PHP, HTML and CSS into themes, templates, and plugins.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles.
- Responsive Coding Techniques/Mobile-First Philosophy; Optimizing page load times; Cross-browser testing.
- Experience working on multilingual websites.
- Experience working with JavaScript frameworks like React, Next JS, Vue, JQuery, and similar.
- Version control and deployment via Git.
Bonus points if you have:
- Familiarity with Pantheon hosting
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Folloze, Unbounce, Hotjar
- Previous experience supporting a marketing team
