Job Description

Rapidly-growing agency seeks an outstanding individual to join our team as Part-time and Freelance Web Developers. We are a dynamic studio in search of an equally dynamic person who is well-rounded, responsible, enthusiastic, and skilled. We are looking for individuals to support our mission and create work that surpasses our client’s expectations. This is a long-term position, so finding the right fit is critical. These positions interface directly with account managers, clients, and specialized staff at our offices in Collingswood, NJ.


We are looking for candidates who excel at pre-visualizing and possess a desire to go beyond expectations in creating web solutions. Most projects are small to midsize websites ranging from brochureware to larger content-managed systems. Pay is hourly by assignment or flat fee-for-project based on a Scope of Work for estimated project hours.


Responsibilities include:


• Completing website assessments
• Guiding and writing functional specifications
• Designing or using pixel-perfect mock-ups and wireframes
• Composing narrative and visuals for client presentations
• Contributing guidance and best practices throughout design and development
• Building, testing, and hosting final coded sites
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


• BA, BS degree or equivalent trade degree in a related field
• 1-2 years related work experience or equivalent internships
• Interest in advertising, branding, and strategy
• Effective communicator and listener with excellent written and verbal skills
• Detail-oriented individual who can shift-gears easily while staying on track
• Confident, independent, self-starter who is eager to learn and ask questions
• Familiarity in Microsoft Office software, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google cloud applications
• Comfortability with Apple computers
• Positive personality who works well in a team environment
• Candidates should possess experience with the following:
– Theme implementations and ground-up designs for WordPress and Drupal environments, including site and module configurations.
– JS, PHP, CSS, jQuery, ReactJS, Vanilla JS, ECMAScript
– Host configuration and troubleshooting
– Debugging
– Server configurations and migrations
– Email configuration management
– Google Maps and Geo API’s
– Application development
– Responsive and pixel-perfect layouts
– Website maintenance including the review, scheduling, and completion of security, module and plug-in updates
– Design change orders
– Social media network integration
– Documentation and legacy code review
– Some experience with with Linux, Docker, DevOps (including, but not limited to AWS, Docker), Python, SQL (both MySQL & Postgres), Django
