Web Specialist

In this role, you’ll get to:

• Support the development and deployment of our website built with our content management system for the Milestone WordPress ecosystem.  The Developer will join the digital marketing team to stand up and fulfill requirements based on the scope and design comps, optimize code within the code base, collaborate on QA testing, and assist with bug-fixing.

We are looking for people with:

• Develop custom features and functionality for WordPress


• Create, maintain, and update our Milestone website


• Work with leadership to scale website design using templates


• Work with marketing team members to create solutions, prioritize needs, develop content criteria, and choose solutions


• Develop or validate test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types


• Stay informed of the latest Web applications and programming practices through education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and groups


• Back up files from Web sites to local directories for recovery


• Identify problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing, and correct or refer problems to appropriate team members


• Evaluate code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems


• Determine user needs by analyzing technical requirements


• On-Call for updates DIVI-Themed WordPress sites


• Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.

Experience

• Proficient with: JavaScript, HTML, CSS,


• Knowledge and experience in programming applications


• Exposure to DIVI (Elegant Themes)


• Experience working with Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Advanced Canva


• Strong communication skills, verbal and written


• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment


• Ability to solve complex problems

Physical Abilities

• Ability to perform work duties from a limited space workstation/desk/office area for extended periods of time


• Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Other Qualifications

• Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines


• Must be a U.S. citizen or have the authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986


• Must be at least 18 years of age


• Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines


• Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information
